The perfect location for relaxing in the tranquility of the Lake District, yet ideally placed for a wealth of activities to enjoy. The Cottage has been tastefully renovated and affords the occupants every modern convenience. Carmel, famous for its 12th Century Priory, is just 1 mile away, with pubs serving good food as well as the usual shops. A little further afield is Grange over Sands, with its promenade, and the historic market town of Kendal is only a short journey. Bigland Hall nearby, offers activities such as fishing and clay pigeon shooting, in addition there are two golf courses at Grange. One being a Fell course approximately 1.5 miles away and the other in Grange, which is 3 miles away. The surrounding countryside provides an abundance of hikes for the more energetic visitor, and for those wishing for something a little more staid, there are dozens of sedate walks to choose from, choice is entirely up to you.
