There is a lovely garden with an enclosed patio to the rear and two open patios at the front (not suitable for unsupervised children) overlooking the valley where you can watch the sun set over the Coniston Fells. Local buses from Bowness go to: Ambleside, Grasmere, Keswick, Coniston, Penrith via Ullswater, Newby Bridge, Grange over Sands, Kendal, Barrow and Ulverston.
