Very close to the river front, Royal Avenue Gardens and Coronation Park with its tennis courts, children's park and dinghy park. Within the town there is a wide choice of excellent pubs and restaurants. The accommodation is convenient for the Britannia Royal Naval College, shops and restaurants. The beautiful Blackpool Sands are 15 minutes drive, and visitors may choose from river cruises, ferries to coves at the entrance of the river and a steam train to Torbay.
