The Old Apple Loft is a first story apartment converted from its orignal use above the old cider house. It is attached to a former Georgian farmhouse which in its history has also served as a pottery, shop and Post Office to the village. Westbury-sub-Mendip is siutated at the foot of the Mendip Hills, and is sandwiched between Cheddar Gorge and the City of Wells. A walk up through the village leads to Ebbor Gorge and miles of open countryside with panaramic views over to Glastonbury Tor and the Somerset Moors. The Old Apple Loft is an ideal base for exploring the Mendip footpaths, gorges and caves in the area.
