Description

Shepherd's Rest Cottage is situated in the quiet hamlet of Knowle, 1000 feet above sea level surrounded by beautiful countryside in an "Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty". There are panoramic views and footpaths accessible from the gate. This is an ideal location for walking, birdwatching, cycling and fishing, or for those wishing to spend time in a quiet, tranquil environment. The detached period cottage, built around 1850, retains many original features including exposed beams and curious ledges and shelves created by the mixed construction of stone and brick. There is a small secluded garden. Nearby is Ludlow with its castle and characteristic black and white buildings, internationally famous for its fine locally produced food and the September Food Fair.
