Glendale Cottage is situated 250 yards off the Military Road, 1.25 miles West of Cawfields, one of the most picturesque spots on Hadrians Wall which winds Eastwards to Steel Rigg and onto Housteads where can be seen the foundations of a Roman encampment. Two miles West on the Military Road is Walltown, with awe inspiring views looking North towards Scotland, and nearby a splendid Roman lifestyle and artefacts museum. The front of the cottage faces South with uninterrupted views overlooking Haltwhistle, over towards Alston to the West and the Lake District, with Haydon Bridge and Hexham to the East, the garden is secluded and one can feel the alfresco environment and enjoy a barbecue in total tranquillity. The swimming pool is available to guests by arrangement with the owner for a small fee.
