Whitsomehill is a tiny hamlet just six miles inland from Berwick-upon-Tweed. No. 7 is the end of a row of listed farmworkers cottages. The area is very rural, lying at the edge of the Cheviot Hills, the Tweed and the Black and Whiteadder rivers running to the south and north. The market towns of Duns, Coldstream and Kelso are all within 15-20 mins drive, and the village of Swinton , a mile and a half away has a small shop and an award winning Inn. To the east lies the coast and the Nature reserve of St Abbs Head, whilst to the South, Holy Island and Bamburgh are 30 minutes drive. The whole area is rich in Country Houses,and ideal for walking, fishing and riding, The Berwickshire coast offers architectural history, and an unspoilt heritage coastline of fishing villages, sandy beaches and rocky coves.
