Description
A warm, cosy, old estate cottage, fully modernised, situated in a tiny hamlet, 2 miles from Hawes, a small market town. With panoramic views over the upper dale, and nestling beneath the majestic Stags Fell, with the famous Buttertubs Pass leading over from Wensleydale into Swaledale. The equally famous Hardrow Scaur waterfall (highest in England) is only a few minutes walk across the fields. Daraby Show in "All creatures great and small" was filmed here. The Grouse Tavern, part of Simonstone Hotel, (which used to be the Earl of Wharncliff's shooting lodge, when he owned all the estate) is only round the corner, and serves wonderful meals.
