Levisham is a small, picturesque, peaceful village within the North York Moors National Park. It is approximatley 7 miles from Pickering, and about 17 miles from Whitby. The village has a post office and pub which serves good meals. About 1 mile from the village Levisham has its own railway station on the North York Moors steam railway line which winds through the moors and wooded valleys between Pickering and Grosmont. Levisham is totally surrounded by wounderful, unspoilt, open countryside and is a paradise for walkers, and people wishing to visit other pretty moors villages, statley homes, addeys, castles, the city of York, and the resorts and fishing villages of the east coast. The area is also where the "Heartbeat" T.V series is filmed. Discounts are available for smaller groups.
