Description

This converted school house is a comfortable and easy to run second home for the owners. Set in a quiet corner of the wooded hills above the Moray Firth, 3 miles south-west of Cawdor, Nairnshire, on a minor country road. The location is remote and a car is essential. The nearest bus-stop is in Cawdor, which only has a church, a pub, a licensed general store/post office and a castle. 9 miles away are other facilities in Nairn. Barevan offers a comfortable and peaceful country holiday within easy reach of a large and beautiful stretch of the Highlands. Cawdor Castle, open to summer visitors, is just down the hill; the seaside resort of Nairn has excellent sandy beaches, two golf courses (one championship), restaurants etc. The Aviemore Centre, 35 miles away, provides a full range of holiday activities in summer as well as in winter. The ski-ing season normally lasts from December to April. Inverness, the capital of the Highlands, about 13 miles away. We don't mind well behaved dogs, if they are kept under strict control, because there are a lot of livestock nearby. Fishing and horse riding are available locally. Discounts available for couples or couples with a baby and for stays for two weeks or over. For these please contact owner.
