The cottage is a delightful conversion of an old chapel, with a wealth of exposed beams. It is situated in the tiny hamlet of Knock, in the beautiful Eden valley on the edge of the Lake District. There are expansive views of the Pennines and the Lakeland hills. The cottage is 20 minutes drive to Penrith, 30 minutes to Lake Ullswater in the heart of lakeland, and 10 minutes to the historic town of Appleby. There is a traditional pub serving good local fare one mile down the road and a post office/grocery shop in walking distance. This spacious converted chapel is extremely well equipped and comfortable. It makes an excellent base for walkers and for touring the Lakes and Pennines. If the booking is for a group of young people a £100 returnable deposit will be required,48 hours before the start of your holiday..
