We are situated 8 miles from Penrith, 10 miles from Keswick and 5mls from Ullswater. The Cottage is attached to Springdene Bungalow, on a private site, the only house on a country road, but within walking distance of the Sportsmans Inn, where there is a good restaurant. Several similar Inns are within a few miles. Alternative routes for a day out are - The Eden Valley, Southern Scotland, Hadrians Wall and The Northern Fells (Caldbeck and 'Back O' Skiddaw) a lovely quiet area to explore. We are far enough off the A66 to be quiet, but near enough to be handy for everywhere. We have a lovely view of Saddleback, a private lawn area goes with the cottage.
