Description
Captains House is a luxury Grade II Listed building overlooking the Waterfront Green, Hythe Pier and facing Southampton Water. The open walks of the New Forest are just a 5 minutes drive. It is situated centrally within the conservation area of Old Hythe. Hythe, where the Forest meet the sea, boasts of having the oldest working pier train in the world. Its narrow gauge railway takes passengers to the pier head where the short trip is taken to Southampton. The village, together with its mixture of Georgian, Victorian and modern architecture, has many shops and is fortunate to have a small Waitrose supermarket.
