We have Beamish Museum, Killhope Wheel and many other museums well worth a visit. On top of all this the countryside is especially attractive for walking and cycling. The local supermarkets re within a three-miles radius...They offer the best quality food and wine needed for the preparation of meals...However there are many pubs and hotels in the neighbourhood that provide excellent fare...some at surprisingly reasonable rates.
